This vegan cheese fondue or oven cheese tastes really so good, and my husband even said it tastes better than the real one. We used cashew nuts, tapioca flour, vinegar, rice wine, nutritional yeast and a bit of salt. It’s so simple to make and almost no effort at all. The hard work is done by the oven.
The only accident was that the baking paper was on fire when I tried to move the pot to the higher level of the oven. My husband came to save me peacefully without any complaining. This oven cheese or cheese fondue can be considered as ‘lazy person’s meal’, and I will definitely make it again. So below you’ll find the whole recipe.
Ingredients (for 2-3 persons)
2 cups cashews nuts
1½ cup water
2 Coffee spoons Tapioca
3 Tablespoons Nutritional yeast
4 Teaspoons apple vinegar
½ Teaspoon salt
2 Coffee spoons rice wine
Step by Step
Turn on the oven and preheat it to 200 degree C.
Add all the ingredients to your food processor. Blend it until it becomes very smooth.
Place baking paper in the oven dish, cut the edges of the oven paper so it fits well.
Pour blended mixture into the oven dish.
Bake it for about half an hour. Then it’s done.
I decorated this dish with purple radish and rosemary.
